Forget what the record labels pushed in 1983. This chart is decided by the people listening right now. Every request and every vote counts, and the songs at the top go straight into our weekly Top 20 Countdown.
How a song climbs the chart
Each request and each vote adds to a song’s total for the week. The more listeners who want it, the higher it climbs. Some weeks a classic holds on at number one. Other weeks a forgotten single shoots up because a few hundred people remembered it at once.
